The Meta 


So far within two weeks of battling, it’s time to take a look at the constructed meta and what I’ve seen dominating the queues! After weeks of battling, it’s time to take a look at the constructed meta and talk about what I’ve seen dominating the queues! Let's take a look to see what the pros are playing using the lists from the WePlayEsports tournament...

The Top Contender

This deck has been running wild in the queues and the tournaments. The Black Red Aggro decks really only differ from each other by a hero and a few cards like how many Time of Triumph are needed and how many Disciple of Nevermore to play. This list that we're currently looking at is Artifact Pro LuckBox aka Stanislav Cifka. It's safe to assume that these Black Red decks all use these four heroes...

The fifth hero in this lineup ranges from Bounty Hunter, Lich, Sorla Khan, and I've even seen a Tinker, but the Hardcore Four are the cards shown above! This deck has so much aggression as you can start a game with a Disciple of Nevermore and beat your opponent's towers real fast. With the right batch of RNG you can even have a round 2 or round 3 tower kill which is insane! Especially since Bounty Hunter can randomly buff itself up to eleven power.

 

Runner Up

Not a fan of the red black deck? Well how about trying green in place? The second most popular deck has been Red Green aggro...

With Drow Ranger you're able to get a free team pump effect with her just being there and Treant Protector's continuous effect Branches of Iron gives your allied neighbors +2 Armor which is huge and can help set up some sweet defenses to break an Axe or Bristleback showdown! Ontop of this, you get the ability to ramp with Selemene's Favor which can lead to powerhouses like Thunderhide Pack.

 

These two decks also share one minion that has been insane! I'm playing it in my Blue Red control deck too....

This card just farms all your opponent's melee creeps and grows to unruly levels if not dealt with efficiently. This is probably one of my favorite Uncommons!

Anything Not Aggro?

Blue Red Control

This is my personal pick for any kind of control deck. I've been piloting this deck personally and have had people come by my channel to let me know they've had some perfect runs thanks to it! It's pretty straight forward, wipe the board as much as possible and then hit the hero's in your opponent's fountain with a Routed. Also equip a blink dagger to your blue hero's so you can blink into lanes and cast an emergency sweeper. This deck has been so efficient at clearing your opponent's lanes up with all the improvements like Ignite and Conflagration and then whatever's left, we just use Thundergod's Wrath. When we really need a clean sweep . . .

This card has been over performing for me. I absolutely love how it's just a clean reset and allows you to surprise Routed

Blue Green 

So before I head off, this is StrifeCo's Blue Green list. These two cards stand out ...

I am in love with these two cards. Incarnation of Selemene could lead to some insanely busted turns as you'll refresh the mana of whatever lane this card is in. I am looking to try this in the queues and report back soon.

 

Conclusion

Although the format is coming up all Red Black, I think there may still be more to explore in this meta. There are very fun and interesting decks that might slip through the cracks like that Blue Red control deck and StrifeCo's Blue Green deck. With these decklists posted, hopefully you have an idea of what to build and spend your hard earned money on!
